The Thomas Auth Accounting Lab & UW-Eau Claire Foundation Communication Center is a lab where accounting and finance students can meet and work on class assignments during the day using the latest technologies. By night and on weekends, the facility is the computerized calling center for the UW-Eau Claire Foundation’s telemarketing program. The lab is equipped with 14 computer workstations.

Lab Software

  • Adobe Creative Suite 3, an integrated design environment used to create and publish content for print and the web
  • Campus Call, fundraising software used by the UW-Eau Claire Foundation
  • CPA TestPrep, self-study software to help prepare for the CPA exam
  • Great Plains Dynamics, provides functionality for financial management, project management, supply chain management, analytics, human resources and payroll, manufacturing, and e-commerce
  • IDEA, data analysis software used to satisfy financial statement auditing objectives, as well as serve as a tool for account reconciliations, basic data mining, fraud investigations, operational/internal auditing, file transfers, and preparation of management reports
  • Microsoft Office 2007, Professional Edition
  • Minitab, statistical software
  • QuickBooks, integrated accounting package for small businesses
  • SPSS, software used to solve business and research problems using statistics
  • Tax Wise, tax software
