College of Business Welcomes New Faculty and Staff
Emily Elsner Twesme, M.A.
Associate Lecturer, Department of Business Communication
Ms. Emily Twesme, associate lecturer in the Department of Business Communication, is teaching business writing and business presentation courses for the department. Twesme looks forward to getting back to the classroom and working with students.
A native of Coon Rapids, MN, she has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Minnesota-Morris and a Master of Arts degree in English from UW-Eau Claire.
Prior to coming to the College of Business, Twesme was the associate dean of students and faculty at Globe University in Eau Claire. She also worked for a non-profit research organization in Washington DC.
Twesme enjoys spending time outside, walking the family's lab, running and working on home remodeling projects. An admitted chocolate-holic, she also likes to cook, bake, and drink coffee with friends.
Adrian Klenz, B.A.
FLIP coordinator, Department of Accounting and Finance
Mr. Adrian Klenz, the new Financial Literacy Improvement Program (FLIP) coordinator, is originally from Beloit, WI.
A UW-Eau Claire alumnus, Klenz was president of the UW-Eau Claire student body in 2003.
In addition to working part-time for the Accounting and Finance Department, Klenz is the financial literacy specialist for Western Dairyland, a non-profit community action agency serving disadvantaged individuals in western Wisconsin.
In his new role as UW-Eau Claire FLIP coordinator, Klenz looks forward to further developing FLIP, which provides a wonderful opportunity for students and is a valuable resource for community members.
When he isn't working, Klenz is involved in local theatre and he is a musician who has sung with many area bands.
Abbie Windsor, M.S.
Academic adviser, Center for Advising, Development and Enrichment
Ms. Abbie Windsor is the new adviser in the college's new Center for Advising, Development and Enrichment (CADE).
A native of Appleton, WI, Windsor graduated from UW-Eau Claire in 2009 with a bachelor of arts degree in political science. After graduation, she returned to Appleton to work for Time Warner Cable, where she worked as an administrative assistant, a position that gave her a broad overview of HR, customer services, production and IT. More recently, she completed a graduate degree in academic advising from Kansas State University. While in graduate school, she worked as a graduate assistant at the UW-Oshkosh Career Services. She has also worked for UW-Eau Claire Career Services.
Windsor loves to watch football (Go Packers!), read a good book—especially anything by Dan Brown, tube the river, shop, listen to music, travel, and spend time with her family and friends.
Windsor is very excited to work in the new Center of Advising, Development and Enrichment, and she looks forward to meeting her advisees.
Rebecca Wyland, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor, Management, Department of Management and Marketing
Dr. Rebecca Wyland, assistant professor of management, will teach Organizational Behavior (MGMT 340) and Organizational Change and Development (MGMT 446) for the Department of Management and Marketing. A native of Hillsboro, WI, Wyland recently completed her PhD in organization and strategic management at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her research interests include work-school balance, work-family balance, emotional intelligence, business ethics, and organizational behavior.
When Wyland isn't working, she is hiking, reading, playing basketball and running (she is currently training for a marathon). She also enjoys traveling. During the past year, she has visited Costa Rica, Germany, Ireland, London, and Scotland.
Wyland is very excited to be part of the Eau Claire community and looks forward to collaborating with COB faculty and staff as well as working with motivated students.
