College of Business Welcomes New Faculty and Staff
The College of Business has new faculty and staff joining this year. Here are some of the new faculty introducing themselves.
Major Eric Beuerman, D.M.A., Assistant Professor of Military Science, Army ROTC
Major Eric Beuerman joins the College of Business as Assistant Professor of Military Science for the UW-Eau Claire Army ROTC. Major Beuerman has been a National Guard member since 1991 in Wyoming, Arizona and Wisconsin, and has been in full-time service since 2002. He was a class piano coordinator at UW-Madison, as well as a church musician.
Major Beuerman holds a B.A. in music from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn.; a M.A. in music from the University of Denver; and a D.M.A. in Music from the University of Arizona.
Major Beuerman was raised in Germany, by parents who taught at American schools. He has two sisters who live in Milwaukee and Ecuador. In his spare time, Major Beuerman enjoys classical music, traveling, languages, and science fiction. He is also a rusty golfer.
Nan Hu, PhD, Assistant Professor, Accounting
Nan Hu joins the College of Business as assistant professor of accounting & finance. Nan recieved a Ph.D. in Management Sciences from the University of Texas at Dallas, and was an assistant professor at Singapore Management University prior to joining the College of Business. He has also worked as a senior analyst at Capital One, and has many years of industry consulting.
Nan is married to Ling Lui, also an assistant professor of accounting & finance. They have two young daughters. In his spare time, Nan enjoys mountain climbing, swimming and music.
Aimee Persteiner, MBA, Associate Lecturer, Accounting
Aimee Pernsteiner joins the Accounting and Finance department as an associate lecturer. Previously, she was an accounting instructor at Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire for four years. She has also worked for Wipfli LLP as an auditor, and for Greenheck Fan Corporation, a large manufacturer in the Wausau area. While working at Greenheck, she had the opportunity to establish operations internationally in United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Mexico and China.
Aimee earned a B.S. in Accounting and and M.B.A. from UW-Eau Claire. She is currently working on a doctorate degree at the Unviersity of St. Thomas.
Her husband, Michael, teaches special education at North High School in Eau Claire. They have two children, Alyson who is 11 and Adam who is 9.
