Several COB students interned abroad this summer and shared their experiences through blogs.
German-business major Whitney Zahn worked in Aachen, Germany at Saint-Gobain Sekurit. Senior marketing major Beth Karabin had an internship with ITC Maurya Hotel in New Delhi, India. Economics major Kaitlyn Walls, also in India, worked with NGO Pratham in Jaipur on an AIESEC internship. Jesse Cooley, a senior spanish-business major, interned in Guatemala, Guatemala with AIESEC students and NGO Sonrisas. Danielle Bryant, a senior business administration major, was in London, England working at Dennis Publishing.

Marketing Students Participate in SuperValu Summer Internships

During their SuperValu internship, Ian Novak, a marketing major with professional sales and marketing analytics emphases, and Teresa Higgins, a marketing major with a marketing analytics emphasis, developed rebranding and repositioning strategies for IGA.
Writing Center Open
The Writing Center, located in OL 1142, is available to all undergraduate and graduate student in any university course. The Center assists with all academic writing tasks.

Monday–Thursday, 9:00 am–3:00 pm
Fridays, 9:00 am until noon.
Chinese Exchange Program Brings Students to the COB

Accounting students, Site Chen, 19, left, and Yuchen Xie, 17, socialized with other students Monday evening at a picnic behind Putnam Hall on the UW-Eau Claire campus. They are among 16 students from China who will be studying in Eau Claire as part of a foreign exchange program that saw significant growth this year. Of the 16 students participating in the China 1+2+1 program, eight are accounting or finance majors in the College of Business.

The UW-Eau Claire women's volleyball team beat Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) to win the 2009 UW-Eau Claire Labor Day Classic, Saturday, Septemeber 5. Management major Liz Amici was named to the All Tournament Team. Other COB students on the UW-Eau Claire women's volleyball team include Jenny Burzynski, business administration; Stephanie Peterson, marketing; and Amanda Lessner, business administration.
Finance Major Cory Sartorelli Named Blugold Football Team Captain
UW-Eau Claire running back Cory Sartorelli has developed into one of the best running backs in all of Division III.

Senior management majors Andrew Gullickson and Brandon Jack drove 15 hours to Little Rock, Arkansas, to compete in the College Bass national championship tournament on the Arkansas River.
