Baker Tilly classroom dedicated
The Baker Tilly Accounting and Finance classroom was dedicated at a special luncheon held Friday, September 28, 2012 in the Ojibwe Grand Ballroom of the new University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Davies Center. Approximately 140 faculty and staff, alumni and advisory board members attended the event which was hosted by Dr. D’Arcy Becker and the Department of Accounting and Finance faculty and staff.
The room was created with a $77,000 gift made to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation by Baker Tilly and 17 UW-Eau Claire alumni and friends working at the accounting and advisory firm. Seven donors were present at the dedication luncheon where they were recognized by Dr. Becker and College of Business Dean Diane Hoadley. Pictured in the Baker Tilly classroom are (l to r) Kim Schult ’95, Aaron Worthman ‘97, Nicki Donlon ‘00, Jim Murray ‘81, Scott Ebert ’86, Wayne Schiferl ‘86, and Christine Smith ‘87. The classroom is located in Schneider Hall room 225.
The Baker Tilly gift is part of the “Power of Possible” campaign which celebrates the centennial anniversary of UW-Eau Claire and supports the powerful fusion of people, programs and places that sustains the tradition of excellence. Gifts to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation support endeavors that accelerate learning and set the UW-Eau Claire degree apart from all others.
