Miranda Cross-Schindler, military education benefits coordinator in the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Registrar’s Office, was one of two UW-Eau Claire faculty and staff members honored at the 2012 Services for Students with Disabilities Faculty & Staff Recognition Day. The event was held October 26th at 10 am in the Davies Center Council Oaks Room 260.

Cross-Schindler was nominated for the award by students for her ongoing commitment to ensure that the campus is accessible for students with disabilities. A U.S. Army veteran, Cross-Schindler is a May 2008 graduate of the UW-Eau Claire MBA program.

Two UW-Eau Claire Department of Management and Marketing faculty members attended a meeting with Interim Chancellor Gilles Bousquet and Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce CEO Kurt Bauer on Friday, October 19th. Chancellor Bousquet invited Bauer to campus to learn about UW-Eau Claire faculty partnerships with Wisconsin businesses and industries. Dr. Doug Olson talked about the health care administration program serving as a national model because of its close relationships with industry leaders. Dr. Rama Yelkur shared information about partnerships between the College of Business and a variety of businesses and industries.

FREE tech support offered for laptop requirement

Upper-level IS students are offering tech support in the Schneider Hall Lobby to make sure your laptop meets College of Business laptop requirements.

Their Fall 2012 schedule is as follows:
• Mondays: 8-10 am, 1-3 pm
• Tuesdays: 11-12 pm
• Wednesdays: 11-1 pm
• Thursdays: 11-12 pm
• Fridays: 10-2 pm
