American Marketing Association AIMS works with small businesses in the Eau Claire Community
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) has experienced success working with local businesses in the community through its Affordable Integrated Marketing Services (AIMS) program.
AIMS, a program started in 2010 by former AMA member Brad Cebulski, is designed to integrate AMA members into the community by having members provide marketing assistance to area businesses.
Currently, AIMS is working with Just Local Foods, a nature food store, on a marketing survey. AIMS participants also are assisting a business develop a marketing plan for women’s hockey sticks.
AIMS is always looking for new clients from the community as well as College of Business students interested in working on AIMS projects. Each AIMS project helps AMA members develop valuable skills and experiences. Profits generated from AIMS support the UW-Eau Claire AMA student chapter and provide additional financial support to students attending the AMA International Collegiate Conference held each March in New Orleans, LA.
AMA is a student-run professional business organization that offers students the opportunity to learn essential skills and leadership to prepare for a future in business. For more information about AMA, contact President Christina Kubitschek at kubitscm@uwec.edu or visit www.uwec.edu/ama.
