COB Student Receives Scholarship from Foundation for Asia Education to Study Abroad
A University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire junior has received a $1,000 scholarship from the Foundation for Asia Education to study abroad this spring in Australia.
Crystal Venzke, a management major from Athens, is believed to be the first UW-Eau Claire student to receive a scholarship from the foundation, said Cheryl Lochner-Wright, a study abroad coordinator in UW-Eau Claire's Center for International Education.

SIFE to Host Global Ethics Forum
SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) will host a Global Ethics Forum Wednesday, March 10 at 6 pm in Hibbard 100 at UW-Eau Claire. The forum will feature Tim Clow, Category Sales Planner from Kraft Foods and Julie Pennington, Assistant Professor of Management and Marketing, who will discuss the issues that companies face concerning global ethics. There will be a question and answer session to follow. The event is free and open to the public.
SIFE provides students of all academic backgrounds an excellent opportunity to network with Fortune 500 executives, while developing leadership skills through educational outreach projects.

UW- Eau Claire Student Jenna Smith Recognized as Scholar/Athlete
Jenna Smith, a University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire marketing major from Robinsdale, MN, was one of 188 Division III female cross country athletes to be named a 2009 All-Academic honoree by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for their efforts in the classroom and on the nation's cross country courses.
