Dean Tom Dock, who has acted as vice chancellor for administration and finance for the university since July, will return full-time to his position as Dean of the College of Business. COB alumnus David Gessner has been appointed Assistant Chancellor for Budget and Finance.

COB Alumni Named Best in Nation in Financial Planning
Two University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire alumni were ranked as the top financial advisers in Wisconsin and Minnesota on a list that appeared in the Feb. 9 issue of Barron's magazine. A third UW-Eau Claire graduate was ranked No. 7 in Wisconsin.

COB Team Takes Top Honors in Business Simulation Contest
Hilbam Cam, a University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire student team consisting of Carl Bamlet, a Spring 2008 business administration major from Hayfield, MN, and Shannon Hilbert, a December 2008 accounting graduate from Barron, WI, was inducted into the GLO-BUS Hall of Fame in December 2008.

AMA Member Wins National Award
Senior marketing major and VP of the American Marketing Association UW-Eau Claire chapter Jennifer Forsythe, received second place in the AMA International Collegiate Chapters (AMA) “Take an Entrepreneur to Lunch initiative.” Forsythe interviewed Dave Anderson, chairman and founder of Famous Daves.

BUS Tee Off for The Arc
Beta Upsilon Sigma will host its fifth annual Tee Off for The Arc golf tournament on Sunday, April 19, with registration starting at 9:00 am. The event is a four-person, shotgun scramble with hole events, prizes and a raffle.
The cost is $60 per player which includes breakfast, 18 holes of golf with a cart, lunch, and two raffle tickets. Proceeds will benefit The ARC of Eau Claire, an organization which helps people who have developmental disabilities.
