The College of Business Scholarship Committee has more than $20,000 in scholarships to award for the 2008-09 academic year. Many of these scholarships are available to all business and HCAD students. The committee will accept applications for the following scholarships starting Monday, March 10, 2008.

Finance Students to Attend the R.I.S.E Forum, March 27-29

Fourteen students in the UW-Eau Claire Student Investment Management Program will attend the Redefining Investment Strategy Education (R.I.S.E.) Forum, March 27-29, 2008 at the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. Eau Claire students will be accompanied by Dr. Ray Hughes, coordinator, UW-Eau Claire Student Investment Management Program.

Paid Internships with UW-Eau Claire Admissions

For Summer/Fall 2008 (May-Dec.) and the 2008-09 academic year (Sept.-May). Interns are involved in an array of recruitment and public relations activities – from providing tours, to assisting with publications, to planning and managing recruitment events.

This internship will develop a student’s communication skills, and cultivate event planning experience, and time and project management abilities in a professional setting. Additional position descriptions and applications are available in the Admissions Office, Schofield 112. Application deadline is Friday, March 14 .

International Internship Opportunity with Minnesota Wire & Cable Co

Minnesota Wire & Cable (MWCC), located in Eau Claire, WI is looking for an intern to assist their materials manager in international outsourcing coordination.

The intern will report to the materials manager. MWCC estimates that the project will take 100 hours to complete the project. Target date for completion: August 2008. Hours are flexible. Pay range: $1,000 (approximately $10 per hour). For more information, contact Erin Leifker, Career Services.
