UW-Eau Claire APICS Team Competes at Regional Case Competition
The APICS Region 14 Student Case Competition was held February 16-17, 2007 in Downers Grove, Illinois. Seventeen teams from Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Texas and Iowa competed in the event. The UW-Eau Claire students received $636 in prize money which will be used to support chapter activities.
UW-Eau Claire students were given the case at 9:00 pm Friday night and had until 11:00 am the following morning to write a three-page paper. Three students (Tim Graft, Ahmad Shamsi and Sean Tallant) summarized the report in a five-minute oral presentation to the judges.
Students competing from UW-Eau Claire were Tim Graft, Nicole Hanson, Greg Jagemann, Nick Keiser, Travis Meyer, Dave Ostman, Nick Polzin, Roger Schwarz, Ahmad Shamsi, Amanda Sutherland, Sean Tallant and Phillip Zander. The faculty adviser for the group is Terry Wells, Department of Management and Marketing.
