UW-Eau Claire College of Business - 40 years of Excellence Snapshots

Hello! My name is Gretchen Bachmeier and I am an intern for the COB. This semester, you might see my friendly face roaming the halls of Schneider in hope of asking you a few questions for the COB social media sites. My job is to find out what you are thinking...about the college, the university or life in general. Not to worry, many of my questions will be light-hearted. Others will focus on your experience as a member of the COB. All interviews will be converted into a short video that will be posted, for your viewing, on the college's YouTube and other social media sites.

Since I will be getting to know you this semester, I thought you should know a bit about me: I am a Junior Public Relations and Women’s Studies double major, I am originally from Eau Claire and I am a proud member of the UWEC Women’s Tennis Team. I’m looking forward to talking with many of you throughout this semester!

UW-Eau Claire College of Business student creates own dictionary

Josh AbramsonWhen UW-Eau Claire student Josh Abramson studied last year for his Graduate Record Examinations—the tests taken before applying to graduate school—he found one aspect particularly challenging: vocabulary.

"Half the GRE is vocab-based knowledge," said Abramson, who will graduate in May with his second bachelor's degree from the university. "If I had to look up a few words, it would take me 20 to 25 minutes because the way the definitions were worded were so confusing."
