Looking for a paid, campus internship that gives you event planning and management experience while developing your communication and time management skills?

Consider an internship with Admissions. Interns participate in an array of PR activities— from providing tours, to assisting with publications, to planning and managing recruitment events. Interns needed for Summer/Fall 2010 and the 2010–11 academic year.

COB Schreiner and Sartorelli Named to All-West Region Team

UW-Eau Claire football players Brett Schreiner, a senior management major from Somerset, WI, and Cory Sartorelli, a senior business finance major from Appleton, WI, were selected to the 2009 D3 football.com All-West Region Team.

Schreiner led the selections as he was named to the second team. He led the Blugolds with 55 receptions and accumulated 522 yards, an average of 9.5 yards per catch. He also finished with eight touchdowns.

Civil Rights Pilgrimage

The Civil Rights Pilgrimage gives students the opportunity to visit sites of historic importance to the U.S. civil rights movement during their winter or spring breaks. This year, six students from the College of Business traveled south to engage in this experience. Among the notable stops: the birthplace of Martin Luther King Jr. in Atlanta; the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute in Birmingham, Ala.; the Civil Rights Memorial in Montgomery, Ala.; Central High School in Little Rock, Ark.; and the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, Tenn.

Blacks in the Military' Topic of February 4 Panel Discussion

Blacks in the Military, a panel discussion moderated by Army Maj. Eric Beuerman (ROTC) and Dr. Selika Ducksworth-Lawton (History), will be held February 4, 2010 from 12 noon – 1 pm in the UW-Eau Claire Schofield Auditorium. Participants include Brig. Gen. Marcia Anderson, U.S. Army 85th Division; Lt. Col. Annie Jackson, deputy commander, U.S. Army Garrison Fort McCoy; Army Master Sgt. Robert Hicks, UW-Stout senior enlisted advisor; and Dr. Jesse Dixon, Air Force TSG (retired) and director, UW-Eau Claire Office of Multicultural Affairs. Contact Beuerman for more information.
