COB Accounting Graduate Establishes "Pay it Forward" Scholarship
COB accounting graduate Janet Tolander has established the Norman Muenzer Scholarship for accounting and finance students. Tolander, who graduated in 1989 and now works for LarsonAllen in Eau Claire, started the scholarship in honor of Muenzer who helped her financially through college. With this scholarship, Tolander wants to provide funds in a similar way and hopes recipients of the scholarship will become future donors on a "pay it forward" basis.
Students who meet criteria must demonstrate evidence of financing their college education without assistance including from parents or others. The financial aid office will verify financial need. The accounting and finance department scholarship committee will then select the recipient.
The scholarship will be available beginning Fall 2009.
