"Where will the students be staying?
Students will be staying in Towers Residence Hall on upper campus. Rooms are fully furnished and bedding is provided. The building is security locked every night. A Leadership Institute student facilitator lives on each hall wing of your dorm. He/she is available to answer any questions or concerns you may have. An adult, professionally trained hall director also lives in the dormitory. He/she oversees all dorm activities and is trained to handle any emergency.


Where will the students be eating?
Students will dine at the Riverview Café located on upper campus. The Riverview Café overlooks the scenic Chippewa River Valley, including parts of lower campus and downtown Eau Claire.


What is all included with the $375 cost?
Students will receive housing, meals, textbook, workbook, t-shirt, a full-day of adventure education and 1 college credit that will be counted towards their fall credit load.


How much extra money should they bring?
All meals are provided for participants as part of the program cost. Participants only need extra money if they would like snacks (i.e. soda, chips, etc.) from the front desk or vending machines. Depending on available time, participants may have an opportunity to visit the UW-Eau Claire bookstore and check out the latest Blugold gear.


Do you accomodate for students with special needs?
All facilities are accessible to students with special needs.


Can I schedule this along with Orientation?
It is possible to schedule the Leadership Institute in conjunction with Freshmen Orientation. The freshmen orientation schedule can be found here. Please remember that orientation must accommodate ALL incoming freshmen. Both the Leadership Institute and Freshmen Orientation sessions are based on a first-come, first-serve basis. We will do our best to accommodate you, but suggest responding as quickly as possible if this is your intention.


Are there accommodations available for participants to stay on-campus before or after their session?
