UW-Eau Claire MBA Graduate Finishes First at B2G Small Business Expo

Miranda Cross-Schindler, president and co-owner of Eau Claire-based GS Alliance, earned a first-place finish at the Society of American Military Engineers Midwest Regional Annual Small Business Expo in Zion, IL.

Cross-Schindler won for her seven-minute response to the statement “Why we should care about your business.” GS Alliance works to transition member of the military to the workforce. It is owned and operated by Cross-Schindler and Rose Geist, U.S. Army veterans who have nearly 20 years of combined experience working in the staffing industry.

Cross-Schindler’s performance earned her a trip to the annual Wisconsin in Washington event June 23-24 in Washington D.C. The program promotes increased federal contracting with companies in Wisconsin and is sponsored by the Wisconsin Procurement Institute. She also will present at the B2GConnect Conference on June 3 in Brookfield, WI.

Cross-Schindler is a spring 2008 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire MBA program.
