Jennifer Forsythe, a senior marketing major and VP of the American Marketing Association's chapter at UW-Eau Claire, was recently named a winner in the American Marketing Association International Collegiate Chapters (AMA) “Take an Entrepreneur to Lunch initiative.” Forsythe interviewed Dave Anderson, Chairman & Founder of Famous Daves. In her story, Forsythe shared about Anderson:
“Anyone, no matter their background, can achieve incredible results if they have a dream and are willing to work for it. He also feels it is extremely important for everyone to find something they love to do so much that they would work around the clock, seven days a week, every year and never feel like they are working! Most importantly Dave feels the greatest rewards do not come from getting rich, but knowing how to give his best to others.”
For her submission, Forsythe received second place nationally along with a $400 grant toward attending the the 2009 AMA Annual Collegiate Conference in New Orleans and a $750 stipend for her educational expenses. In addition, she and Anderson will be able to make a joint $5,000 donation to a charity of their choice.
The UW-Eau Claire AMA chapter is currently working with Anderson to bring his motivational message to campus later this spring semester.
