Van Zanten Named 2008 Outstanding MBA Student

Jason Van Zanten, the 2008 COB Outstanding Graduate Student, will receive his MBA in May 2008. He will be recognized at the UW-Eau Claire Alumni Association’s Outstanding Student Luncheon, May, 9, 2008.

Van Zanten has a master of science degree in chemistry from the University of California at Berkley. Prior to working on his MBA, he was a senior research associate at Gilead Sciences, Inc. in Foster City, CA, where he developed clinical and commercial formulations and manufacturing processes for Atripla, the first once-daily single tablet regimen for the treatment of HIV-1 in adults.

Van Zanten graduated summa cum laude from UW-Eau Claire with a bachelor of science in chemistry. He was a member of the university’s Honors Program.
