UW-Eau Claire accounting and finance VITA volunteers celebrated the end of tax season at a reception held April 16 in Davies Center. Students and their adviser, Stacy Lacktorin-Revier (Accounting and Finance), helped over 525 people prepare their income tax statements since February 2008. VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) is a joint program of the Internal Revenue Service and Wisconsin Department of Revenue. VITA volunteers provides free tax return assistance to taxpayers with adjusted gross annual incomes under $35,000.
