Accounting and Finance Honor Society to Initiate New Members

Eight business students will be inducted into Beta Alpha Psi, a national honor society for financial professionals, Saturday, April 26 at 2:30 pm in the Davies Center President's Room. Initiation will be held in conjunction with the university's Honors Week, a time set aside by the university to recognize students of high scholastic achievement.

Juniors

  • Hye Young Han, from Namyang-Bong, South Korea
  • Ruth Lane, from Eau Claire, WI
  • Tyler Johnson, from Brooklyn Park, MN
  • Katie McInnis, from Wauwatosa, WI
  • Monica Ramthun, from Loyal, WI

 

To be eligible for invitation, accounting and finance students must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 in all upper level accounting courses
  • Completion of Accounting 301, Intermediate Accounting I
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 OR GPA above 3.25 over the past 25 credits
  • Top 35% of their class.

Beta Alpha Psi recognizes scholastic and professional excellence in the fields of accounting and finance. The organization provides opportunities for self-development, service and association among members and practicing professionals, and encouraging a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility. The organization has 263 campus chapters with over 300,000 members initiated since it was founded in 1919.

James Rundall, Accounting and Finance, is the faculty adviser for the Eau Claire chapter of the organization.
