The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire American Marketing Association's 25th annual Fun Run will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday April 28, in Carson Park's Oak Pavilion. The rollerblade race will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the run/walk begins at 10 a.m.
Enterprise and AMA are sponsoring the 5K walk/run/rollerblade to raise money for Special Olympics. The event includes the 5K walk in the morning, bands around noon, barbecue, beverages, competitions and door prizes, finishing with a bash at the Brat Cabin around 4 p.m. Runners receive free beverages and a t-shirt for their effort.
The event is open to students, faculty, staff and the community. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the event and can be purchased at a booth in Davies center and Schneider Hall two weeks prior to the race. A brochure and registration form that can be mailed in with the entry fee is also available on the AMA Web site.
The participants of the AMA campaign "aRe yoU iN" will be on campus wearing blue and silver to raise awareness for the Fun Run and celebrate the run's silver anniversary.
