Student Position Available: UW-Eau Claire College of Business Student Web Developer

The COB student web developer will work as part of a team on the college's award winning website and electronic newsletters. The student will have opportunities to expand his/her knowledge by attending conferences and web seminars. Internship credit is available. Hourly wage is commensurate with experience.

Reports to

  • College of Business Assistant Dean-External Affairs Job Responsibilities and COB graphic designer

Duties

  • Works as part of a team to develop new pages in html and create the college's three electronic newsletters.

  • Maintains, archives, and updates the College of Business website and Intranet

  • Tracks College of Business website statistics

  • Formats Word, Excel, and other documents

Qualifications

  • Must be organized and attentive to detail

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Must be able to work effectively as part of a team

  • Must be proficient on a PC platform

  • Must have good knowledge of HTML and CSS. Knowledge of JavaScript a plus.

  • Must be proficient with Macromedia Dreamweaver, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel

  • Must have basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop

  • Must be familiar with current web technologies and trends

Hours

  • Summer 2007: 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday

  • 2007-2008 academic year: 15-20 hours per week. Schedule can be built around class schedule.
