UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education is seeking a business counseling and programming outreach specialist to coordinate one-on-one business counseling and small business programming for the Small Business Development Center, UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education and/or UW-Extension. The position is a full-time, fixed-term 12-month academic staff position.
Specific duties include: small business counseling and coordination of counseling (50%); non-credit program planning, marketing, budgeting and instruction for entrepreneurs (30%); and regional service and economic development (20%).
A bachelor's degree in a business-related field is required. A relevant master's degree, two or more years experience as a business owner or manager of a business unit, or experience with economic development or small business consulting may be considered an asset. Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to efficiently use Microsoft Office software are essential.
