PBL Students Capture Three Firsts at State Conference

uwec seal The Wisconsin Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) Spring Leadership Conference was held April 21-22, 2006 in Neenah, WI. Congratulations to the members of the Delta Mu chapter of UW-Eau Claire PBL who placed in the following competitions:

  • Accounting for Professionals: 1st - Allison Palmer, accounting student from Two Rivers, WI

  • Business Communications: 1st - Allison Palmer, accounting student from Two Rivers, WI; 3rd - Jonathan Jablonsky, finance major from Berlin, WI

  • Business Law: 3rd - John Jablonsky, finance major from Berlin, WI

  • Computer Concepts: 1st - Brett Bushman, business administration major from Greenwood, WI

  • Financial Concepts: 3rd - John Jablonsky , finance major from Berlin, WI

  • Hospitality Management: 1st - Ashley Ahlborn, management major from Arbor Vitae, WI; 3rd - Tony Rozmenoski, management major from Black River Falls, WI

  • Human Resources Management: 2nd - Grant Kafka, management major from Antigo, WI
    International Business: 3rd - Gina Trapp, marketing major from Hartland, WI

  • Management Concepts: 2nd - Jens Knudsen , management major from Stillwater, MN

Universities represented at the event included Herzing College-Madison Campus, Michigan Technology University, UW-Eau Claire, UW-Green Bay, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Madison, UW-Platteville, UW-Stout, UW-Superior, and UW-Whitewater.

Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) prepares students for careers in business and business-related fields. The organization is the post-secondary division of the national organization, Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda. The Delta Mu Chapter of Phi Beta Lambda was chartered on the UW-Eau Claire campus in 1967.
