BCOM 306 Students Get Hands-on Experience Writing Alumni Newsletter
Students in Paula Lentz's BCOM 306 Advanced Business Writing classes will work with Gretchen Hutterli, COB Assistant Dean and Kou Thao, COB graphic designer, on the COB Connections, the college’s new electronic newsletter for alumni and friends. Students will receive a byline for their articles which will be “published” on the COB website. The newsletter will debut May 2006.
Articles and interviews by the students will focus on key themes within the college, such as hands-on learning, technology, globalization, communication and social responsibility. A Then/Now feature will highlight interesting changes within the college the past 40 years. Online surveys, chats/forums will also be used to make the newsletter interactive, informative, and fun.
The COB alumni newsletter will be distributed twice a year: Dec 1 and May 1. Back issues will be archived in the News and Events section of the COB website.
