Beta Gamma Sigma Information Meeting for Prospective Members

UW-Eau Claire SealAn information meeting for prospective members of Beta Gamma Sigma, the honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International, will be held Thursday, February 23 at 5:00 pm, in Schneider 321. Students interested in joining the society must return their application packet to Schneider 400D by Friday, March 10. New members will be initiated Saturday, April 29.

Beta Gamma Sigma is the business equivalent of Phi Beta Kappa (liberal arts honor society) and membership is the highest honor bestowed upon undergraduate and graduate business students at institutions accredited by AACSB International. Students are invited to join the organization by their business school faculty. To be eligible for invitation, students must be in the upper 7 percent of the junior class, or upper 10 percent of the senior class.

Beta Gamma Sigma was founded as a national organization on February 19, 1913. The Society has 430 collegiate chapters in 11 countries and on four continents. The Society’s membership of more than 540,000 includes leaders in all fields of industry, government and academia.
