Executive from Carlson Companies to Speak at Annual Community Breakfast

Dave Zitur, Program Executive for Enterprise Resource Planning, is the guest speaker at the Annual Community Breakfast, which will be held Wednesday, March 8 from 7:00 -8:30 am in Davies Center Spruce-Tamarack Rooms. The event is sponsored by the UW-Eau Claire College of Business, Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce and UW-Eau Claire Foundation.

In his presentation, "Carlson’s Transformation Journey", Zitur will describe the transformation moving the company to a new business model with global reach and stronger, more resilient customer relationships. Carlson Companies, a global leader in the marketing, travel and hospitality industries, is one of the largest privately held corporations in the United States. The company employs about 190,000 people in more than 145 countries.

Zitur is a highly motivated, results-oriented business executive with 20 years of finance and information technology experience. He has been recognized throughout his career for his ability to create and implement information technology and finance plans, lead complex projects, and direct high performing teams. In 2005, he was named project executive for Carlson’s enterprise planning project. As the executive in charge of this company-wide initiative, Zitur oversees the replacement of Carlson’s current financial systems by assisting in the development of common forecasting and budgeting systems, and common project-management systems. Under his leadership, the first of three phases of the project has been completed on time and under budget.

Zitur has a bachelor degree in finance from St Cloud State University.
