The Office of Multicultural Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will hold a Martin Luther King Jr. Candlelight Commemoration Ceremony from 5-5:30 p.m. Jan.16 at the Ecumenical Religious Center on campus.
The event is free and open to the public.
The ceremony will include a welcome; a chronology of King's life; excerpts from the "I have a Dream" speech and other writings by King; hymns; a prayer for unity; and closing remarks, which will include extinguishing the candles.
