Test your selling skills at the 5th Annual UW-Eau Claire Collegiate Sales Competition, Friday, December 1, 2006.
UW-Eau Claire students will develop a 20-minute sales presentation for a predetermined product or service which they will “sell” to a faculty “buyer”. Sales presentation will be evaluated by a team of judges consisting of sales professionals and faculty members.
The competition is open to UW-Eau Claire marketing majors or minors, or chemistry business majors. Students must be currently enrolled or have completed one or more of the following courses: Professional Sales, Sales Management, Advanced Sales Topics. Contestants must be a full-time student at UW-Eau Claire during the Spring 2007 semester.
The top four UW-Eau Claire students receive trophies and all expense paid trips to the 9th Annual National Collegiate Sales Competition at Kennesaw State University (near Atlanta, Georgia), March 16-17, 2007. Students competing at this national event interact with recruiters from some of the most highly regarded companies in the United States.
Last year, the UW-Eau Claire team placed sixth nationally, beating teams from such schools as Babson College, Baylor University, Harvard, Purdue, Texas State University and University of Houston. UW-Eau Claire student Lindsey Zastrow took first place in the service category and placed 4th in the competition overall. She was less than one point away from competing in the championship round.
