The UW-Eau Claire Sales Competition lets students enhance their selling skills. It also gives students a chance to get individual feedback from industry salespeople and ultimately have an opportunity at the national competition to meet representatives from several organizations that are looking to hire. Each participant will develop a 20-minute sales presentation for a predetermined product or service which they will “sell” to a faculty “buyer”. Their sales presentation will be evaluated by a team of judges consisting of sales professionals and faculty members.
The prize: The top three students in the UW-Eau Claire competition will receive an all expense paid trip to the 8th annual National Sales Competition which will be held March 17-18, 2006, at Kennesaw State University near Atlanta, Georgia. Students at the conference will interact with recruiters from some of the most highly regarded companies in the United States.
Who can enter: UW-Eau Claire marketing majors, marketing minors or chemistry business majors. Competitors must be currently enrolled or have completed one or more of the following sales courses: Professional Sales, Sales Management, Advanced Sales Topics. Contestants must be a full-time student at UW-Eau Claire during the Spring 2006 semester.
