GlobITpro Accepting Applications for Summer 2010 Program
GlobITpro is an innovative study abroad experience in Austria and Germany that prepares IT savvy students to live and work in a global business world. GlobITpro students participate in classroom and extracurricular activities designed to help develop a global mindset receptive to and respectful of cultural differences, global knowledge that includes an understanding of entrepreneurship and IT management and research, and global work skills that prepare students to work effectively across cultures.
Students will receive 10 credits of study for the program listed below:
May 25–June 18 Management Center Innsbruck (MCI)
June 21–25 Berlin Field Trip (includes corporate visits to BMW, Lufthansa and SAP)
June 28–August 13 Technische Universität Braunschweig (TUBS)
Who should apply?
GlobITpro is open to any University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire or University of Nebraska-Omaha student who meets the following criteria:
- US citizen
- Completed at least 24 credits of a bachelor degree program prior to departure
- Cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
In-state resident tuition and fees. All GlobITpro students will receive a $5,000 stipend which can be used for airfare, room and board, and/or travel within Europe.
