Research Interests
Dr. Vaughan teaches in the Operations Management area. He has published over 20 research articles on inventory control and quality management techniques, and has delivered inventory management seminars across the country.
“I particularly enjoy teaching the Process Simulation course. Here students develop computer simulation models for analyzing a variety of production systems. Students are able to critically investigate a number of important issues in system design and operation, free from the limitations and often unrealistic assumptions of simpler models presented in most textbooks. Students not only learn a valuable modeling technique, but develop advanced intuition regarding the behavior of dynamic systems.”
