Undergraduate Student Code of Conduct: I.N.T.E.G.R.I.T.Y.

As undergraduate students in the College of Business at UW-Eau Claire, we want to be role models of ethical behavior. We want to be known not only for our academic excellence but also for our I.N.T.E.G.R.I.T.Y.:

  • Individual responsibility

  • Do the right thing and lead others to do the right thing.
    Do our own work, and give credit to others for the work they do.
    Keep commitments we make to our instructors and fellow students.

  • Behave with integrity when engaged in any University-related business with outside entities, such as internships, class projects, or community service activities.
    Remember that when in the community, our actions as individuals reflect on the College of Business as a whole.
    Represent ourselves and our accomplishments accurately and honestly.

  • Learn how to make ethical decisions rather than simply reacting.
    Take responsibility to understand and clarify expectations with instructors and fellow students as needed.

  • Follow the UW System Student Administrative Code, presenting any objections promptly, openly, and honestly.
    Compete in good faith, seeking advantage fairly.
    Use technology legally and responsibly.

This code has been reviewed and approved by the UW-Eau Claire Office of Student Development and Diversity.

We cannot pre-identify all situations that might be a violation of a code of conduct, but that does not mean that we cannot enforce appropriate policies. Remember, you have rights and responsibilities and these are outlined in the Student Services and Standards Handbook Administrative Code. There are several groups who enforce this code, including the faculty and administrators of the College of Business, the Office of Student Development and Diversity, the Chancellor’s office, and even Campus or Eau Claire police if needed. We work with them to ensure that everyone is treated fairly and equitably.
