The Board of Trustees of Cardinal Stritch University has chosen Kent Bergemann, a 1977 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, to be the interim president, following the resignation of president Dr. Helen C. Sobehart.
Bergemann is a retired executive with a 30-year career at Wells Fargo. He has been a trustee at Stritch for four years and has served on the academic and student affairs committee, the committee on trustees, the compensation committee and executive committee.
A graduate of the UW-Eau Claire business finance program, Bergemann began his career with Wells Fargo in 1978 as a business banker in Minneapolis. During his career he served with the agri-business division of the wholesale bank, manager of the Capital Lending group, national accounts manager for the bankís New York City office, and senior credit officer for banking operations in Wisconsin and Illinois. Bergemannís teambuilding skills have been developed and shaped through mergers, acquisitions, business restructurings, and retail expansion.
