We Prepare You for Success

We prepare UW-Eau Claire business students for success by giving them the skills and knowledge they need to help build an ethical and prosperous global economy. We do this by developing in them the communication, technology, and teamwork skills to lead beneficial change.

These statements, taken from the college’s mission statement, aren’t just words for us. Take a look through our website and you’ll see many examples of how we live our mission. Here are just a few examples:

• COB students learn the value of giving back to the community by complete a minimum of 30 hours of service-learning prior to graduation.

• 28% of all UW-Eau Claire students studying abroad were from the College of Business. Visit our International Business Program website to learn more about our global offerings
• UW-Eau Claire COB students take more oral and written communication courses than business students at most other business schools. Of special note are our highly popular advanced business communication certificate and Student Professional Development Program.
• Our information systems certificate is designed to complement majors in every area of study. Check out our specialized labs, laptop initiative and Mason Companies Cyberlab on the Technology website.
• Students learn the mechanics of what makes an effective team in their organizational behavior class. They put theory into practice in most of their business class after OB. Opportunities also exist for students to develop teamwork and leadership skills by participating in the Leadership Institute, joining a COB student organizations or completing our leadership certificate.
