How long have you been a long term care administrator?
I have been a long term care administrator since December, 2006.

How long have you been with your current organization?
I have been with Golden Living since December, 2006.

How many administrative practicum students have you mentored previously?
I have not mentored any administrative practicum students.

Why did you became a preceptor?
GLC- Greeley is where I did my practicum. I was previously the ED at Linden and have transferred to Greeley, so I am excited to return to Greeley and continue to support the UWEC-HCAD prgram.

What is your philosophy on mentoring/supervision?
My philosophy on mentoring/supervision is to provide individualized direction and support to help students grow to be a successful leader in long term care.

How do you encourage the student's growth?
I encourage student's growth by allowing the student to experience many different situations, and by challenging to student in difficult situations. I encourage questions, and appreciate those that take initiative.

What else should practicum students expect from you or from their overall experience at your facility?
Practicum students should expect a rewarding experience with many different opportunities for learning and growth.
