2009 Outstanding MBA Student
Rupnow was selected for this award by the graduate faculty because she showed leadership in the classroom, according to Dr. Robert Erffmeyer, UW-Eau Claire MBA director. "Ann is always professional and has exceptional interpersonal communication skills," said Erffmeyer.
Just because you are graduating doesn't mean your relationship with the college has to end. Keep us posted on what you are doing.

Most of them hail from the Midwest. The majority of graduates are from Wisconsin and Minnesota. South Dakota and Florida are also represented. One is originally from Canada.
They have diverse educational backgrounds. They came to the MBA program not only from the UW System and private Wisconsin colleges but also from schools such as Queens University in Canada and Buena Vista University.
They have diverse careers. Although many were full-time students, we have a flight nurse, a recruitment specialist, and somebody who manages a wholesale power supply business. Their employers cover a wide range of industries, including, among others, the banking industry, technology, health care, and manufacturing. One person owns a marketing/public relations firm and a graphic design/web development company. One works for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
They like the great outdoors and any sport they can do there. They like to get around: We have people who like to walk, swim, snowboard, ski, bike, and horseback ride. They like to compete in marathons, triathlons, and 100K ultramarathons. Other sports include tennis, soccer, baseball, basketball, and volleyball.
They have interesting hobbies and families. We have a few fantasy football leaguers. One collects cars. Some like to cook and others like to eat…some while tailgating. Another brews his own beer. Some invest money for fun (and maybe profit?).
They have big goals. Many hope that their new MBA will lead to a job in management. Others hope to own their own businesses. One hopes to travel to Norway.
They are humanitarians. One hopes to establish a foundation for people to go to college. Another wants to do some mission work.
They’ve had a variety of learning experiences. From starting (and failing) a small business to learning the value of a dollar by popping thistles for five cents each, our graduates have learned valuable lessons from their experiences.
