Management Information Systems - Service-Learning

Service-Learning offers you opportunities to apply your education in service to the community, which enhances your appreciation, understanding, and respect for others. Service-learning activities can take many forms. They may be integrated into a course, be part of an internship experience or a club activity.

All UW-Eau Claire undergraduates must complete 30 or more clock hours of curricular, extracurricular, or co-curricular service-learning. You must complete either one 30-hour or two 15-hour service-learning projects to graduate.

IS students and faculty give back to the community

The IS Department has partnered with the UW-Eau Claire Service Learning Office to form an integrated, ongoing IT upgrade program for nonprofit organizations in the Chippewa Valley. Students from IS 310, 344, and 460 do everything from strategic planning to LAN installation to PC training for community organizations.
