The ability to communicate one's ideas is often the difference between success and failure. Communication skills are consistently rated at or near the top of most surveys designed to determine what employers want in employees.

Providing you with the communication skills you need for a successful business career is the Department of Business Communication's top priority. We offer a series of courses and a special certificate that strengthen and refine your ability to communicate.

In Spring 2006, we introduced the Student Professional Development Program, a series of four non-credit workshops focusing on topics such as business etiquette and professional appearance. These workshops will help you gain the skills you need to present yourself in a professional manner throughout your career.
