Why did you come to UW-Eau Claire?

I wanted a medium-sized school that offered an accredited business program. I visited a few schools, but when I came to Eau Claire my search was over. I fell in love with the college. The aesthetics of the campus were so beautiful: right on the river, so many trees, flowers in bloom, and what’s not to love about the literally breath-taking hill. The tour of the campus showed me all that the school had to offer. It had everything that I was looking for. As I finish my collegiate years at UW-Eau Claire, I still believe that it was the right choice for me.

Why did you pick the major you selected?

When I took my first operations management class, I knew I found my niche. My professor was one of the best professors I’ve had at UW-Eau Claire. Through her knowledge, teaching style, and passion for what she was doing, she got me hooked on operations management as a career.

Why did you choose the Advanced Business Communication certificate?

I believe that leaving college with the Business Communications Certificate is one of the best tools that I can have. The BCOM certificate enhances general lessons learned about communicating in the business world. It takes you to the next level of professionalism. In this day and age, communication of all types, whether it be written or oral, is essential for business. Good, clear communication can be the thing that will differentiate you from your competition and the Business Communication Certificate can help you to master this.
