On-Campus MBA - Admission Requirements

The UW-Eau Claire MBA program was designed to meet the needs of graduates in the workforce as well as students seeking direct admission from their undergraduate degree programs. We also welcome applications from international students and individuals interested in the 150-hour BBA/MBA program.

Your undergraduate degree need not be in a business area. However, individuals without baccalaureate business degrees must satisfy MBA program course prerequisites. Contact the MBA director if you wish to discuss strategies for satisfying MBA program course prerequisites.

To be admitted to the MBA program in full standing, students must meet the following requirements:

Eau Claire Advantage

You can apply to the MBA program before you have completed all program admission requirements

You should apply to the program as soon as you are serious about pursuing an MBA. This will enable us to help develop an individualized course schedule based on your past educational background. In addition, this will allow us to send you advanced registration materials.

You can apply to the MBA program before taking your GMAT® or GRE® General Test

Students lacking only the GMAT® or GRE® General Test should apply to the MBA program then sign up for the GMAT® or GRE® General Test. Once we receive your test score (assuming it is an acceptable one and that you have met all other admission requirements), you will be admitted to the program in full standing. Visit GMAT® or GRE® General Test on the web for more information.

"Conditional admission" to the MBA program is very common

An individual who is conditionally admitted has a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of at least 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale), but has not met one or more of the other MBA admission requirements. These students should contact the MBA director as soon as possible to discuss how they can achieve full standing.
