The criminal justice program is administered by the Political Science Department, with courses taught by faculty in several departments in the College of Arts and Sciences. As a multidisciplinary program with a liberal arts emphasis, students are exposed to an array of perspectives and approaches from several academic orientations. |

Dr. Randall Beger joined the faculty at UW-Eau Claire in the fall of 1991. He received his Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (1985). Dr. Beger teaches Youth Crime and Juvenile Justice (crmj/soc 302), Police in Society (crmj 319), and Confinement and Corrections (crmj 342). His research areas focus on juvenile justice policy and youth rights issues. |

Dr. Justin Patchin joined the faculty at UW-Eau Claire in the fall of 2004. He received his Ph.D. from Michigan State University (2004). His research areas focus
on policy and program evaluation, juvenile delinquency prevention, and school
violence. Dr. Patchin teaches Survey of Criminal Justice (crmj/soc 103) and Criminology Theory (crmj 301). |
