• Junior Taylor Kuether, Grafton, Wis., was awarded the 15th Ann Devroy Memorial Fellowship on April 19, 2012.
  
  
• CJ students and faculty mentors were awarded honors at the 20th annual Student Research Day in the Social Sciences — Other than Psychology category. Fifth Place — Seniors Kara Koerner, Leah Knutson, Brianne Schwarz, Nicholas Goffard, Kelsey JuVette, and Alyssa Molbeck, with faculty mentor Dr. Martha Fay, assistant professor of communication and journalism, "Transformational Leadership Between Peers." Sixth Place — Seniors Mara Pearson, and Samantha Peterson, with faculty mentor Dr. Martha Fay, assistant professor of communication and journalism, "Employee Volunteerism and Message Framing."

• Janet Driever, senior lecturer, received Nontraditional Student Services recognition from the Concern for Adults Returning to Education (CARE) Recognition program.
