Visiting Scholar Guidelines

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire welcomes applications from scholars interested in conducting research. Questions? Contact an International Adviser at inted@uwec.edu.

To apply, please submit the following materials:

1. Completed and Signed International Scholar Application
   
   
2. Current Curriculum Vitae (CV)
   
   
3. A copy of the photo page of your passport and all dependants’ passports
   
   
4. Financial Documents
   You are required to provide proof that you can financially support yourself and your dependents during the length of your program, including grace periods. Proof can be letters from banks or grant awards. These must be original with signatures and stamps. Faxes, photocopies, scanned, or print outs will not be accepted.
   
   
5. $100 USD Application Fee
   Payment can be made by wire transfer or money order only. The fee is non-refundable. Please contact an International Adviser (inted@uwec.edu) for the wire transfer procedure.

Within 30 days of arrival to UW-Eau Claire, the following payments must be submitted:

1. Health Insurance
Federal Regulations require that you and your dependents have a certain level of health insurance coverage. The health insurance must be purchased for you and all dependents, and must cover the length of your program, including grace periods. For more information on the health insurance policy, click here.

2. International Scholar Administrative Fee
Four to six month programs are $250, and six to twelve month programs are $600. Payment can be made by bank check, cashier’s check, or wire transfer only. Please contact an International Adviser (inted@uwec.edu) for wire transfer procedure information.
