South Korea Semester Academics

ELIGIBILITY
To apply you must be a currently-enrolled, degree-seeking undergraduate UW-Eau Claire student. You must be in good academic standing and have a minimum cumulative resident GPA of 2.8. You may apply as a freshman but must have sophomore standing when the program begins. Classes are in English. No previous study of Korean language required.

COURSES/ COURSE EQUIVALENCIES
Exchange students can study Korean language as well as take course work offered in English. The main disciplines taught in English include engineering (mechanical, chemical, environmental)  business administration, economics, information systems/computer engineering, and English. There are also a few history, political science, and sociology courses that are taught each semester in English. Finally, there are one-credit, physical activity classes offered in golf, bowling, taekwondo, aerobics, and tennis. For a list of courses taught in English, please visit the Ajou page for Courses Offered in English.

Currently, no course equivalencies exist for the semester and academic year options at Ajou University as 2012-2013 is the first year that UW-Eau Claire students have the opportunity to study for semester or year.  Course equivalencies will be established as students apply to the program.

ACADEMIC CALENDAR
Fall semester runs from late August to mid-December; spring semester runs late February to late June. An orientation program is offered prior to the beginning of each semester.
