ELIGIBILITY
To apply, you must be a currently-enrolled, degree-seeking undergraduate UW-Eau Claire student.  You must be in good academic standing and have a cumulative resident GPA of 2.8.  You may apply as a freshman, but must have at least sophomore standing by the time the program begins.

COURSES
Students with limited or no background knowledge of Chinese can choose to take Chinese language and related courses that are designed for international students at different levels: beginning, intermediate and advanced. A placement test is administered to all international students (except those with no language background in Chinese) who plan to take Chinese language classes before students can register for classes. Chinese literature and culture courses mainly include Chinese modern literature, Chinese society and customs, etc.  Students may also take electives such as HSK preparation, Chinese calligraphy, Chinese painting, and Wushu.

Beijing Normal University also has course work in English. Please keep in mind that some of those courses are graduate level courses so please choose wisely. It is suggested by Beijing Normal University that you take no more than 2 English taught courses on top of the Chinese language courses that you take. Please visit http://www.bnulxsh.com/jieshao/ETCCP.html for more information on the English taught courses available at Beijing Normal University.

Students will take three Chinese classes at the appropriate level and one or two courses in English. Students can take a maximum of three courses in English.
