STUDENT LIFE
Shortly after you arrive, you will participate in an orientation program with information about academic and student life at Aberdeen, student support details (health service, counseling service,) and public transportation information. There are many student clubs and organizations you may wish to join.
STUDENT EXPERIENCE
The experience has left me with the ability to cope with any obstacle I may come across and confidence in my academic writing abilities. I have grown as a student and as an individual. Monuments and architecture may be exciting, but do not forget to meet the people that call those places home as they hold what no monument can offer. Ronald
It's been brilliant if I had to choose one word to sum up my study abroad experience. I have not only learned so much about the world but I learned about myself and feel like a stronger, better person because of my experiences. And hearing about places and seeing them in pictures or film seems like it is enough but once you have walked around the areas, seen them with your own eyes, touched them with your hands, smelled the air; you realize this is a marvelous, interesting, ridiculous world we live in and you have just experienced a small piece of it. You feel as if you have taken a step into something bigger, greater, the world becomes so much larger and yet at the same time smaller and something you can actually hold onto and keep within yourself. EXPLORE SCOTLAND !
Aberdeen is a thriving city of 200,000. With excellent museums, great concert venues, and a vibrant nightlife, the city offers something for everyone. And its location--on the coast, at the confluence of two rivers, and near the Cairngorm Mountains--guarantees both spectacular scenery and incredible opportunities for those who love the outdoors. Aberdeen also has an international airport with direct flights to many European destinations, making it a convenient base for travelling outside the U.K.
