THE PROGRAM
This exciting new program is a consortium of six universities, three in Wisconsin and three in Scotland. Partner universities include the University of Aberdeen, University of Glasgow, University of Stirling in Scotland, and UW-Eau Claire, UW-La Crosse, UW-Stout in Wisconsin.
THE LOCATION
Stirling is Scotland's newest city and is a short bus ride from campus. With a population of around 41,000, the city offers a warm community welcome and is within easy reach of both Glasgow (50 min. by train) and Edinburgh (25 min. by train).
With a student population of 9,000, the University of Stirling is known for programs in Film & Media Studies, English, History, Environmental Science, Management, and Sociology. Built in the rolling hills of a former Airthrey estate- with Airthrey Castle still in place as a teaching building- the Stirling campus boasts a friendly atmosphere and a strong community spirit. In 2009-2010, students selected the University of Stirling as the Scottish University of the Year.

HOUSING & MEALS
At Stirling, you will stay in on-campus flats or chalets, where 3-7 students have single bedrooms but share living, kitchen and bathroom space. There are meal packages available, but most students choose to cook for themselves with the kitchen becoming the social center of the living space! Find details here!

STUDENT EXPERIENCE
Studying abroad has been the best college experience I have had so far. This semester I have been able to experience a new way of life, and I have cherished every moment of it. I have gained more understanding of how others live in modern society. I have also gained more independence, and am better able to critically think and come up with solutions to a variety of situations. Studying in Stirling was the best risk I have ever taken. Meghan
My experience abroad was spectacular. It was truly the best experience of my life. I don't want to leave! Stirling is an awesome city, really close to both Edinburgh and Glasgow as well as the highlands. You can really get anywhere in Scotland. Navigating the buses, trains, and planes really gave me a lot of confidence as a person. I am so much more independent than I was when I first arrived. Rebecca
EXPLORE SCOTLAND!
Stirling is ideally situated to explore Scotland. The dramatic Highlands are located north of Stirling. Scotland's largest cities, Glasgow and Edinburgh, are located an hour away bus or train. To learn more about the local area click here.
