Program Description:

THE PROGRAM
Join us for a two-week introduction to the business culture of China at Jinan University, Zhuhai campus. The Summer 2013 program will be led by faculty Dr. Scott Swanson in Management and Marketing. You will experience the language, culture, food, and business etiquette while in Zhuhai and Hong Kong. A combination of pre-departure lessons, on-site lectures, and tours of important business and cultural sites will give participants an overview of China today.

THE LOCATION 
The main part of the program will be hosted by Jinan University-Zhuhai campus, located on the southern coast of Guangdong Province. Ten days in Zhuhai will be followed by a three-day guided visit to businesses and historical sites in Hong Kong. There will also be business and cultural visits in Guangzhou and Shenzhen during your time in Zhuhai.

HOUSING & MEALS
In Zhuhai, you will live in the Junlin hotel, about a 15 minute walk from the University, or 2 bus stops. You will reside in double rooms. In Hong Kong, you will be staying in the Holiday Inn Golden Mile hotel. Breakfast is included for the duration of the program. Some additional meals will be provided in both locations. In Zhuhai, meals can be purchased at the cafeteria at a reasonable price.

STUDENT LIFE

You will be paired with a Chinese "buddy" who will help you navigate Chinese culture outside of the formal framework of the program. Past students rated spending time with their buddies as one of the highlights of the experience.
