THE PROGRAM
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire has been sending students to Murdoch University since 2004. Join the wave of students headed to Western Australia!
As a UW-Eau Claire student at Murdoch, you will be immersed in the life of an Australian university student. You can choose from all courses offered on campus that semester. You will take classes from Australian professors, with Australian classmates. When you have finished your semester, you will be able to say that you truly experienced life in another culture.
THE LOCATION
Perth, the capital of Western Australia, has a population of 1.74 million people, more hours of sunshine than any other Australian city, and 50 kilometers of beaches. The lifestyle encourages both study and social activity.
Murdoch is located 25 minutes by bus from the center of Perth, and 10 minutes from the port city of Fremantle. With a student population of 18,000, students experience a campus slightly larger than Eau Claire but the community provides individualized attention, close staff/student collaboration, and good access to support facilities such as computer labs, and the library. Check it out at http://www.murdoch.edu.au/Future-students/International-students/.

HOUSING & MEALS
Your housing is arranged with the help of Murdoch University in six-eight bedroom apartments in the Murdoch University Village, http://www.murdochuv.com.au/. A strong effort is made to house international and Australian students together. You'll cook your own meals in the apartment kitchens or eat at one of several campus cafeterias.

STUDENT LIFE
To get involved at Murdoch, join the Murdoch Guild of Students. There are over 80 clubs and societies (sporting, cultural, and intellectual) in the Guild. Past students have participated in African Drumming, Belly Dancing, the Gamelan Orchestra, and many others.
STUDENT EXPERIENCE
Australia was amazing; it changed my life for the better. Living in a different culture on the other side of the world can be difficult at times, but I got to live out some dreams I had and when I look back on the experience I always crack a smile. As big as the world is you realize there are good people all over the world and meeting people from all over was an amazing opportunity. - Kevin
EXPLORE AUSTRALIA!
Each semester Murdoch University offers a Northwest Outback Excursion. This optional 10-day camping expedition takes you to the dolphins at Monkey Mia in the Shark Bay World Heritage Area, Ningaloo Reef, home to some 500 species of fish, and the spectacular gorges of Karijini National Park.
An on-campus travel agent can help you plan your individual adventures. From going "Down South" to the surfing beaches, "Up North" to the Outback, or flying to Sydney, there are opportunities for all budgets!
